Summer Savings plan

Join REC’s Summer Savings Plan—a free and voluntary program that rewards you for using less electricity when demand is high. It’s a smart way to save energy, help control the rising cost of wholesale power, and earn bill credits along the way.

From June through September, on days when electricity use spikes, REC will call on participating members to reduce their energy use during key hours—typically between 3 and 6 p.m. By reducing demand during peak hours, we can:

  • Lower future energy costs for everyone
  • Keep rates more stable
  • And reward you with a rebate for the energy you save

The more members who enroll and take action, the bigger the impact we can make—together.
