A Day in the Life: The Forgotten First Responders

We were in the studio with William Wilfong and his wife Hillary to talk about his typical day as an REC lineman & the impact it has on his family. We talked about his day during storm outages versus a typical spring day; the things he loves about his job, his schedule and even learned what causes the most non-storm related outages. Hillary gave us some insight into their family life; what stresses her out about his job; and she told us about his answer to “How was your day?”

A Day in the Life: Getting the Word Out

We were in the studio with Casey Hollins, Director of Communications and Public Relations for Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. We talked about how her department gets updates and information out to members; what happens behind the scenes during power outages and the important role her team plays to help members stay “in the know” on a wide range of topics regarding their energy usage.
