REC will install the upgraded technology in phases across our service area. Members will receive advance notice of the meter upgrade.
In most cases, members do not need to do anything to prepare for the installation.
Grid edge technology is an upgrade to our AMI system. The upgrade will improve reliability and outage response times, enhance data insights, and prepare our grid for future programs.

All installers carry identification and follow established safety and on-property protocols. All crews, whether REC employees or contractor teams, can be verified by calling 1-800-552-3904.
Members do not need to be home during grid edge technology installation. If the member is not home during installation, crews may leave a door hanger.
