The 2026 Youth Tour is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to form connections with a select group of students from around the country and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Capitol. The deadline to apply is Jan. 31, 2026.

High school juniors are encouraged to apply if their family receives electricity from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC). Those selected will join the 2026 Youth Tour, held June 15-19, 2026, in Washington, D.C., and hosted by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s (NRECA).

Youth Tour has shaped generations of leaders. Not just a summer trip, it’s an unforgettable, and unique experience to stand where our nation’s greatest leaders have stood and to see history in the making. Through the tour, students learn about their local electric cooperatives and the relationship they have with the government and the impact they have in their communities.
