Chief Financial Officer Named at Rappahannock Electric Cooperative

REC has named Steven Roddy as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

In this role, Roddy is responsible for developing financial strategies, overseeing budgeting and reporting and managing complex procurement activities. 

Roddy is a finance executive with extensive experience in strategy development, financial planning, and operational management, particularly within the energy sector. He has a proven track record of leading financial operations for large organizations, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Sarbanes-Oxley standards. 

Early in his career, Roddy spent several years at Tennessee Valley Authority in Financial Planning and Analytics, and then served as Financial Operations Manager for Southern Company. He then served as CFO and Head of Finance at Louisiana Energy Services, and most recently as CFO and Vice President of Finance at Central Electric Power Cooperative. 

Roddy holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Management and Human Resource Management from the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida. He is proficient in various financial technologies and is currently pursuing his Certified Public Accountant license. 

Roddy, his wife, Tia, and their two boys, Lincoln and Jackson, are excited to join the REC family and make Virginia home.
