* REC accepts payments in the form of check, money order or credit card. If you meet REC credit requirements, we can include the cost on your electric bill in monthly payments with a down payment.

Common Upgrades Hiring REC's Skilled Electricians. Member provides the item needing installation and REC's skilled electricians will handle the installation for you. Services include:Ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, smoke detectors, outlets, doorbells, door cameras, switches, dimmers, breakers, and other small miscellaneous services. Starting at $250 

Upgrade service capacity to your home.

Replacing service entrance cable from your meter to REC's lines and your breaker panel to accommodate additional electric load. Examples: New HVAC, electric vehicle charging, retrofits for older homes without major appliances. Starts at $1,900
Replace service entrance cable Installing a new overhead entrance cable from your meter to REC's lines.  Starts at $800
Replace existing house service panel Replacing the main panel or subpanel when the existing service size is acceptable and no upgrades are required. Starts at $1,200
Add a subpanel to an existing panel This is required when more space is needed within a breaker panel to accommodate more circuits on an existing service. Starts at $1,800
Level II electric vehicle charger installation Installing a new circuit and wiring/hardware from main panel or subpanel to EV charger or new dedicated receptacle. Includes new breaker and mounting the charger. EV Charger, startup/commissioning, application or software installation not included. You can purchase a Level II Charger in REC's Vividly Brighter Marketplace here Starts at $950
Electrical inspections Evaluating electrical infrastructure inside the home in advance of house sale or purchase - or to ensure code compliance.  Starts at $225
Adding or replacing a circuit off a main panel or subpanel.  Replacing or installing circuits for new lighting, appliances or systems. Circuits can be 120 volt or 240 volt (single phase only). Incudes wiring and materials from service panel to outlet and new breaker within the existing panel if required. Excludes underground outdoor wiring. Starts at $450
Generator transfer switch For loads up to 12kW (30 or 50 amp cord). The price includes a 40-foot cord to connect the generator to the transfer switch.  Starts at $1,350
