REC Honored as Chamber Partner of the Year for Community Commitment
Tuesday | July 1, 2025

On Tuesday, June 25, REC was honored as Chamber Partner of the Year at the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting. The cheerful gathering allowed community leaders to reflect on shared successes and honor outstanding local contributions. The evening’s warm applause, heartfelt speeches, and strong sense of camaraderie perfectly reflected the spirit of connection that REC embodies in its partnership with the Chamber.

The Chamber Partner of the Year is awarded annually to a group or organization that demonstrates exceptional collaboration through logistical support, advocacy, marketing, administrative activities, and programming that advances the Chamber’s mission.

This year, REC stood out for its steadfast partnership with the Chamber, as well as its continued dedication to community-led growth.

“This award isn’t just about sponsorship, it’s about showing up, lending your voice, helping others succeed, [and] being the kind of partner that makes the whole organization stronger,” said Frank Wells, program director for Classic Hits SAMFM, as he announced the award. “[REC] has done just that, and then some. REC has shown unwavering commitment to our shared mission, not just through sponsorship, but through deep, purposeful engagement across our most important initiatives.”

Accepting the award on behalf of the co-op was Tracey Steiner, REC’s Chief Engagement & Consumer Officer. She was joined by several team members in celebration of this meaningful recognition – one that adds to a growing list of honors highlighting REC’s deep-rooted commitment to service.

“Being recognized as Chamber Partner of the Year is truly inspiring,” shared Casey Hollins, Managing Director of Communications & Public Relations and Louisa Chamber Board Chair. “At REC, we believe in the power of partnership and community, and this award reflects the strong collaboration between our team and the Louisa County Chamber. It is a testament to the heart of our co-op, and to our employees who are fully dedicated to supporting our members and helping local businesses thrive.”
