REC Introduces Director of Human Resources

REC is proud to introduce its director of Human Resources, Danielle Brokenburr. Brokenburr is responsible for assisting the manager of human resources and employee development in overseeing the day-to-day human resource operations. She has the primary responsibility for directing the staff and in executing personnel policies and practices.

Prior to assuming her position at the Cooperative, Brokenburr served as the director of human resources at Goodwin House, a nonprofit retirement community in Falls Church. With more than 20 years of Human Resources experience, Brokenburr has also served a variety of roles including Human Resources Business Partner and Human Resources Senior Manager for CACI in Arlington.

Brokenburr holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from American Intercontinental University and a master’s degree in human resource management from Capella University.  Brokenburr also holds the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Brokenburr resides in Prince William County with her family.

REC provides electric service to over 167,000 connections in parts of 22 Virginia counties. With its general office in Fredericksburg, Va., the Cooperative operates and maintains more than 17,000 miles of power lines through its service area, which ranges from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the tidal waters of the Chesapeake Bay.
