For the third consecutive year, Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) has  been recognized as a Top Virginia Employer for Interns by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. REC was among 161 employers honored statewide as part of the 2026 Top Virginia Employers for Interns Awards. The annual award recognizes Virginia employers that provide exceptional internship experiences through mentorship, leadership engagement, hands-on learning and career development opportunities.
