REC Names New Key Accounts Executive
Wednesday | May 15, 2019

Jeff Powell has recently been promoted to key accounts executive for Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC).

Powell is now the primary contact for designated key accounts and large power activities for member-owners in the southern portion of REC's service area. He will work primarily from REC's Bowling Green office.

Powell will manage the relationship between REC and a number of the Cooperative's key accounts. To help attract, retain and expand businesses, he will work with large commercial and industrial members to ensure they are served on the best rate based on their electric load profile. He also will assist them with the interconnection of distributed generation for emergency, renewable and stand-by situations.

Prior to assuming his new position, Powell worked in REC's Contact Center. He previously spent nearly 14 years with a building supply company, where he handled national residential and commercial accounts.

Powell earned a bachelor of science degree from Old Dominion University and has completed additional training with the Building Performance Institute.
An active member of the community, Powell attends Spotswood Baptist Church and is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moose and Knights of Pythias.
