REC Supporting Local Businesses: QuadTank Style
Monday | November 30, 2020

The annual Quad County Business Summit aims to help business owners connect, learn and prosper. These goals are similar to REC's goal to connect the community and provide valuable information. In an effort to support business owners in Central Virginia, REC sponsored the 2020 summit and the QuadTank Pitch Competition.

The Quad County Summit brings together businesses from Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Orange counties for a half-day of networking and educational programs. Throughout the day, business owners and leaders learn about free resources available to help their businesses grow and thrive.

This year, the summit featured a QuadTank Pitch Competition where entrepreneurs had the chance to win a $5,000 cash prize for their business idea. Felicia Ainsa, REC’s director of economic development, was part of the panel judging the QuadTank Pitch Competition.

“This event is a great way to connect with our community because entrepreneurs and small businesses are vital to our economies,” Ainsa said. “They create the majority of new jobs and drive innovation and creativity through their products and services.”
