REC Supports Madison Day Volunteers
Friday | May 21, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic changed a lot over the last year. One thing it hasn’t changed, however, is how people come together to support their community. Despite last year’s cancellation, the community came together on May 1 to celebrate the second annual Madison Day.

Two REC employees from Culpeper, Ben Berry, Field Operations Foreman, and Jeff Cropp, Member Service Representative, joined nearly 200 volunteers who came together to help others in Madison County in need of home repairs and yard work. Volunteers spent the day working on 15 separate projects.

Berry and Cropp assisted with delivering breakfast and lunch, prepared at the Madison firehouse, to the volunteers and residents at each job site. Plans have already started for next year!
