We’re releasing a bonus episode with all the details for REC’s FREE Member event – Get Connected – happening on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 4pm – 7pm at Frederick County (VA) Fairgrounds located at 250 Fairgrounds Road in Clear Brook, VA.

In this episode, we talk to Jeff Hinson, Director of Member Services & Community Relations with Rappahannock Electric Cooperative about the event, the information booths, kids activities, food & entertainment. 

Being involved in the communities they serve is a cornerstone for Rappahannock Electric Cooperative. Today, Janet was in the studio with Casey Hollins, Director of Communications and Public Relations for REC to talk about their community programs.

We were in the studio for a conversation with Rappahannock Electric Cooperative CEO, Kent Farmer & Board Member, Chris Shipe. We discussed their community involvement, expanding renewables, energy efficiency, and reliability.

We talked about the the history of cooperatives, the importance of member involvement as well as the technology available through MyREC SmartHub.
