Mid-2020 to Present:

  • Conserving equipment and supplies as much as possible;
  • Working with suppliers to communicate present and anticipated needs as early as possible;
  • Looking for alternative sources to procure needed equipment;
  • Reaching out to other electric service providers to share information on supply availability and to exchange needed equipment when possible; and
  • Coordinating with state and national cooperative organizations to alert government officials and ask for their assistance.

We are updating the our existing process for service requests by:

  • Maintaining a First in/First Out system for essential services.
    • We will manage and satisfy all new, incoming requests as closely as possible to the order received as material is available. In some cases, we will work to first fulfill requests for occupied residences or occupied business-related facilities.
  • We are also working to identify how to satisfy the largest number of existing and prospective members’ requests with available material inventory while maintaining that first-in/first-out prioritization.
  • To the greatest extent possible, we will provide an estimated timeframe for project initiation.
  • We will continue to focus on keeping power connected. We have a process to ensure we have a storm reserve of inventory so that in the event of power outages we have the materials to make repairs and restore power.
    • We continuously monitor the proper level of storm inventory for each material class, and
    • Designate portion (e.g., 25%) of incoming delivery (of certain items) to be deposited directly into storm reserve inventory.
