Culpeper: REC Lights Up Holiday Festivities

Friday, Dec. 2 kicked off REC’s tour of local Christmas parades and festivities. Bailey Christian, Apprentice Lineman, and Curtis Gregory, First Class Lineman, joined the community at the Ruckersville Walmart for the annual Toy Lift.

Later that evening, William Butcher, Mechanic, drove the bucket truck and Rachelle Scott, Senior Member Services Representative, drove the EV while Tucker Brockman, Member Services Field Representative; Jeff Henry, Director of Member Services and Community Relations; Michaela Jamrozek, Member Services Representative; and Dwight Walker, Member Services Field Representative, passed out candy to those attending the Madison County Christmas Parade. 

On Saturday, Dec. 3, First Class Linemen Brandon Pritt and Brandon Pickeral drove a REC truck and DeWayne Close, Member Services Representative; Rhonda Lutz, Member Services Representative; Jeff Scheidemantle, Member Services Representative; and Walker attended the Orange Parade. A few miles west, Butcher; Jeff Cropp, Member Services Representative; Henry; Sarah Kerns, Senior Member Services Representative; and Scott participated in the Standarsville Drive Through Holiday Light Display.

The parade processions continued on Sunday, Dec. 4. Butcher drove a REC bucket truck and Scott drove the EV while Scheidemantle; Henry; Kerns; Paulette Slaughter, Distribution Design Representative; and Mike Lindsay (REC Board) and his wife, Becky, waved to those attending the Culpeper Sheriff Department’s Christmas Parade.
