REC’s ENERGY STAR® New Home Program

Find or build the house of your dreams with REC's ENERGY STAR New Home Program. This program provides you with peace of mind knowing that your new home meets rigorous efficiency guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) —guidelines verified by an independent Home Energy Rater.

Home buying or building is complex enough without having to know all the details of energy-efficient construction. ENERGY STAR is the government-backed symbol that identifies new homes, buildings, and more than 50 types of energy-efficient products that offer the features, quality and performance that today’s consumers expect.

A competitive edge for ENERGY STAR builders

The EPA’s ENERGY STAR program helps builders meet consumers’ growing demand for high quality, energy-efficient homes. It is a proven partnership program that has helped builders construct energy-efficient homes for over a decade.

To date, more than 5,000 builders have partnered with EPA to construct over 840,000 ENERGY STAR qualified homes. By the end of the decade, more than 2 million homes are expected to earn the ENERGY STAR. The trend is clear.

There is no cost to enroll as a partner with ENERGY STAR. The EPA and REC provide builders with valuable recognition for their participation. ENERGY STAR builder-partners also have access to a variety of technical and marketing materials. Learn more and apply to partner with ENERGY STAR by using the resources listed on the right-hand side of this page.
