REC Attends 2024 Co-op Legislative Day

Tuesday, Jan. 23 was the annual Co-op Legislative Day. REC board members, leadership and staff traveled to Richmond and met with members of the General Assembly. During these meetings, legislators are able to hear directly from their constituents and it gives REC’s representatives to communicate the importance of cooperative priorities.

REC attendees included Board members Darlene Carpenter, Region III; Linda Gray, Region VI and Board Secretary; Eric Paulson, Region VIII and Board Treasurer; Mark Wood, Region VII; Randy Thomas, Region V; and Gene Campbell, Region IX. Also in attendance was John Hewa, President & CEO; Jason Satterwhite, Chief Grid Operations Officer; Tracey Steiner, Chief Engagement and Consumer Officer; Larry Andrews, Chief Administrative & Finance Officer; Peter Muhoro, Chief Strategy, Technology & Innovation Officer; Casey Hollins, Managing Director - Communications & Public Relations; Mark Ponton, Director of Broadband and Fiber Services; Lindsey Watson, Director of Government Affairs; and Kayla Coleman, Economic Development Specialist.
