Apprentice Apparatus Technician - Fredericksburg

The Technician will maintain and operate the Cooperative's apparatus (regulators, reclosers, transformers, sectionalizers, capacitors, oil circuit breakers, and oil switches) effectively, efficiently, and safely. The Apprentice Apparatus Technician will also perform the installation, testing and maintenance of SCADA and load management equipment. 

Clean Energy Programs Intern - Fredericksburg

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative is one of Virginia’s largest distribution cooperatives, providing electric service to over 180,000 members across 22 counties in Virginia. The Energy Solutions and Clean Energy department is responsible for electric transportation, energy efficiency, demand response, and residential solar programs. REC seeks a summer intern to assist in developing clean energy programs, along with researching and presenting grid innovative solutions for the Cooperative.

Director - GIS

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) is seeking a Director of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to lead, inspire, and strategically direct a high-performing GIS team. This individual will be responsible for delivering innovative, accurate, and impactful geospatial solutions that drive operational excellence. The Director will ensure the consistent provision of high-quality mapping, spatial analysis, and data services that support all REC departments, operational functions, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.

Additionally, the Director will champion the continuous evolution of GIS technologies and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization. They will ensure that GIS strategies are closely aligned with REC’s corporate objectives, as well as with emerging industry standards and technological advancements. The successful candidate will also foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in order to maximize the value of geospatial intelligence throughout REC.

Director - Brand Content - Fredericksburg

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) is seeking a Director - Brand Content who will lead the implementation of REC’s strategic communications initiatives to ensure consistent, effective, and engaging messaging across all platforms, events, and activities.

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Communications & Public Relations department, overseeing internal and external communications, public relations activities and ensuring all messaging aligns with REC’s brand values and goals. The Director supervises a team of communications and public relations professionals, drives community engagement efforts, and collaborates closely with the Managing Director to ensure seamless execution of REC’s communications strategies.
