External Communications Specialist - Fredericksburg

The External Communications Specialist oversees the development, execution, and management of communication materials distributed to REC’s members and the public. This role ensures that all external publications, member communications, and digital content are crafted to consistently reflect and promote REC’s mission, values, and strategic priorities. The Specialist is tasked with maintaining a strong, cohesive brand presence across various platforms, ensuring that messaging is clear, engaging, and tailored to the needs of diverse audiences. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to optimize communication efforts and strengthen REC’s public image and member engagement.

Brand Content Specialist - Fredericksburg

The Brand Content Specialist will collaborate with the Communications and Public Relations department staff to develop content strategies that support REC’s marketing and communication efforts. Strategies developed must align with REC’s strategic plan and achieve the goals and objectives for initiatives supporting efforts company-wide. This role includes content creation including some writing, editing and graphic design, oversight of advertising campaign creation, advertising placements, and marketing efforts across digital and traditional channels. The Brand Content Specialist will also collaborate with internal teams, key stakeholders and REC’s affiliates to ensure cohesive marketing and communication strategies that enhance REC’s brand and member engagement.

Civil & Environmental Engineer III/IV - Fredericksburg

The Civil and Environmental Engineer III/IV is responsible for the site/civil work on the Cooperative’s substations, transmission lines and occasional distribution lines to include the review of foundations, concrete specs/breaks, grading, entrance roads, SPCC’s, SWPPP’s and the PCB oil disposal plan.

Substation Engineer III/IV - Fredericksburg

The Substation Engineer III/IV is responsible for reviewing designed projects to include checking onelines, schematics, detailed wiring drawings and P&C drawings to provide QA/QC for projects that have been designed by contracted Engineering firms.  It will also prepare engineering and design in-house for the construction of new as well as upgrades of existing substations.
